To be so close to him (or to the weapon according to your placement) makes it easier to finish your counterattack.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Pihagi (= evade, avoid) is important. Left or right, but not back in line. The position is always performed with a side facing.<\/p>\n<p>Make sure the knee of the back leg is pointing inwards.<\/p>\n<dl>\n<dd>\n<ul>\n<li>Move either foot forward or backward, so that a distance of one shoulder width arises between the two toes.<\/li>\n<li>Bend the back leg so far as the knee is over the toes.
